Bid Support: Data Cleansing a Bill of Materials (BoM)

We worked closely with our client to enhance and de-risk their bid to the MoD through BoM data cleansing and Obsolescence Risk Analysis activities.

Challenge

• Our client needed to de-risk their bid submission to MoD to make it more competitive.
• Support with the equipment’s Bill of Materials to identify item lifecycle analysis in a short timeframe to meet MoD Deadlines.

Outcomes

• Our Obsolescence Management and Data Scientist teams triaged the data ahead of schedule allowing for a timely bid submission.
• Enhanced client’s bid and de-risked their programme.
• BoM was reduced to 40% through data cleansing.
• Final BoM was analysed to identify high, medium and low risk items so client could prioritise mitigation actions.
