Chairman
Steve started at Allan Webb over 30 years ago and has risen to the rank of Managing Director, a position he has held since 2011. In 2022 Steve was made Chairman of the company.
Managing Director
In 2024 Andrew was appointed Managing Director of AWL following a successful spell as Finance Director looking after financial and commercial aspects of the business. He's a FCMA qualified accountant and prior to joining AWL held Director roles across Finance and Operations in other Defence Technology businesses.
Operations Director
Anne joined AWL as our Programme Delivery Partner for Team Equinox, where we are supporting the MoD with supportability, supply chain and project management. In 2021 Anne was promoted to Director of Operations before becoming a member of the Board as Operations Director in 2022.
Business Development & Commercial Director
Lorraine joined AWL in 2011. She comes from a defence background, and is involved in the development and delivery of engineering and supply support services. In 2023 she was promoted to Business Development & Commercial Director, taking over the company’s growing Sales and Commercial Departments.
Strategy Director
Paul joined Allan Webb at the start of 2024. He is a Chartered Engineer with a wealth of defence experience gained from his time as a Weapon Engineering Officer in the Royal Navy and from 15 years of consultancy. He is leading our strategic growth and capability development plans.
Director
Ian joined the Allan Webb team in 2015. He spent almost 30 years as a Logistics Officer with the RFA and rose to the rank of Captain. His expertise is in surface ship support, ILS and supportability engineering.
Technical Director
An experienced Director and Senior Business Manager within the Defence and Aerospace sector with a track record of developing teams, implementing change and delivering complex contracts associated with new product development and aftermarket support.
Technical Director
Gareth joined Allan Webb in 1989 as an IT Support Engineer, becoming the company’s IT & Security Director in 2001. He specialises particularly in a plethora of innovative solutions around data analysis, security and process improvements.
Consulting Director
George joined AWL in 2022 as the Sales & Marketing Director following 30 years in the Royal Navy and 10 years providing Design, ILS and Project Management support to surface ships within the defence industry. In 2024 he was appointed Consulting Director.
Head of Land
Lawrence joined the company in 2010 after 20 years in the MOD. He has experience in support of requirements capture, project management, development and delivery of engineering and support services.
Business Development Manager
Martin joined AWL in 2022 in an operations capacity, before joining the Business Development team in 2023. He has over 30 years’ experience in the Aerospace, Defence and Commercial Technical Publications and Graphics industry and, prior to joining AWL, held an MD role in another Tech Publications business.
Operations Manager
Simon joined Allan Webb in 2014 as Operations Manager and is responsible for the delivery projects across the company. He has a technical background and served for 12 years in the Royal Engineers.
Head of Support Engineering
Robin joined Allan Webb in 2020 as an ILS Manager after 10 years in the commercial maritime sector. Specialising in Marine Engineering including Operations, maintenance and Naval vessel Survey, he is now Head of Support Engineering working tirelessly with clients to deliver ILS, IPS, ARM and Safety.
Head of Obsolescence Management
Tim is an APM Chartered Senior Project Manager and Obsolescence Specialist who has excelled in delivering complex end-to-end technical engineering programmes, capabilities and support solutions with the view to deliver a significant benefit for the End User.
Technical Documentation Capability Lead
Will joined AWL as Technical Publications Capability Lead after 7 years of working in this field. Specialising in Land Systems, he prides himself tailoring each project to his clients’ specific requirements, in order to offer the best possible service and value.
Programme Delivery Partner Lead
Fiona Joined AWL as an Operations Delivery Manager in 2019 following 25 years as a Logistics and Training Specialist in the Royal Navy. In 2021 she was promoted to Programme Delivery Partner (PDP) Lead, supporting Portfolios, Programmes and Projects direct to the MoD across P3M and engineering Supportability.
Head of People
Gareth joined Allan Webb in 2021. He has over 20 years’ experience leading HR Teams in South Africa and the United Kingdom. He is responsible for providing strategic guidance and leadership for all aspects of the human resources function.
Financial Controller
Glyn joined the company as Financial Controller in 2016. Having held the ACMA qualification since 2006, Glyn has operated in a number of Senior Finance roles in a range of industry’s including Automotive, Power Generation and Packaging.
