Our team of training and support specialists, led by Head of Learning Ruth Warner, has been working hard behind the scenes over the past few months to develop the innovative approach to our training delivery. “Adding online learning to our well respected classroom based training aligns with Allan Webb’s strategy of listening and responding to the needs of our clients”, explains Ruth, “We have more, short ‘overview’ courses under development and will be presenting some of our longer, technical courses in a modular format, live and online.”
The launching of this new suite of online courses coincides perfectly with the news that 5 of our classroom courses have recently been endorsed by The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and now have associated Continuing Professional Development hours.
Our Learning Platform
Allan Webb is dedicated to providing the same interactive learning experience that has made our classroom courses so successful. As such, we have opted to utilise Webex Training as our Learning Platform of choice.
Students will be able to communicate with their tutor and ask questions in real time, in much the same way as they would in face to face sessions. Courses will make use of the software’s break out room functionality to encourage group work on case studies and learning exercises, before being brought back to share and collaborate in the main forum.
Participants will not need to download any software to take part on the courses; simply follow the link we provide when you book.
High-Calibre Learning and Support Worldwide
Our new tailor made short courses will be among the first to be delivered via Webex and our Subject Matter Experts can also present our existing classroom courses online, when required.
Our course delivery has been developed to facilitate an optimum learning environment by ensuring our students remain comfortable. Courses will be broken into sessions which typically last no longer than 1.5 hours each, including short breaks to reduce screen fatigue.
This is just the beginning. We plan to expand and enhance our portfolio by developing new courses on new subject areas and will ultimately move towards a hybrid learning experience, utilizing both online and classroom training.
What’s more, we’re not just stopping at online course delivery; Project and Technical support and consultancy can also be provided to our customers using the Webex Platform. All of our expertise is available at your fingertips!
