The Type 31 frigates are the latest ground-breaking generation of UK warships commissioned by the UK MoD. Babcock, the MOD’s Prime Contractor, will deliver five frigates which will serve at the heart of the Royal Navy’s surface fleet. Built on a foundation of British shipbuilding heritage and engineering expertise; they will utilise latest technologies to ensure operational adaptability for modern naval activities.
Allan Webb is delighted to be part of the supply chain of Babcock’s ‘Team 31’ and having the opportunity to apply our 60 years of experience in Technical Publications and Inventory Management to support Babcock International with its delivery of Type 31. The programme will draw on Allan Webb’s wealth of skills and experience in the Maritime supply chain and technical information.

The programme will commence in 2021 and is set to continue until 2027, utilising staff across Allan Webb’s offices in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire and Barrow-in-Furness.
