Allan Webb is delighted to be a Gold Sponsor of the 13 Bridges Challenge taking place in London on Saturday 29th June 2024 in support of SSAFA the Armed Forces Charity.
We’ve been a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) since 2017, obtaining Gold Accreditation in 2021, and have supported SSAFA as our company charity for over five years. As part of our ongoing commitment, we’re proud to be sponsoring this great event and entering two teams to take part in the challenge.
The event is open to people of all abilities and involves walking a stunning 10-mile route through London, starting from Trinity Square Gardens near Tower Hill. Groups will then be guided by a military escort along a criss-crossing route covering 13 of London’s most iconic bridges with start times staggered every 6 minutes between 8am-1pm. Once over the finish line, participants will be able to enjoy some food, entertainment and get the chance to learn more about our Armed Forces.
“The event is going to be an excellent way to bring our team together in support of an important cause and at the same time connect with old friends and meet other likeminded people.
As a company we recognise the significant contribution and sacrifice that serving members of the Armed Forces and Veterans have made, and importantly the support that both they and their families may require because of this. We have always admired the work that SSAFA funded services support.
As a team we remain committed to supporting and growing our own veteran colleagues (ninety-six) and working with SSAFA. We believe in the investment of working closely with service leavers and have always recognised the valuable contribution that they can make to industry and the unique skills and perspective they bring.”
– Andy Lloyd, Managing Director

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. In 2022 our trained teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 59,000 people, including veterans, serving personnel (regulars and reserves) and their families.
SSAFA understands that behind every uniform is a person. And we are here for that person and their family, any time they need us and in any way they need us.
